About Project
When I first visited Aung Mingalar School in 2014, it was only a primary school operating in an old school building. Despite being young, the head monk managed the school well. He confidently shared his long-term plan to build a three-story building and expand education up to the middle school level.
In 2015, the head monk personally led the construction of the three-story school building using donated funds. When construction stalled after the second floor due to funding shortages, he reached out to the Apple Foundation for support. Inspired by his dedication, we contributed to complete the building.
In July 2018, as the number of students exceeded 700, the school needed more classrooms. The head monk initiated the construction of a new three-story, nine-classroom building. At Aung Mingalar School, the head monk is dedicated to the children’s education, the teachers provide quality teaching, and the parents actively support the school in any way they can. Therefore, in addition to completing the construction of the expanded three-story building, 31 computers were also donated.
