were visited and inspected to assess the situation on the ground. As the earthquake occurred during a school holiday, there was no concern for student casualties—only the potential loss of school buildings. However, for the schools where dormitories were also built and donated for boarding students, there was particular concern for the safety and well-being of the young children who live there. However, the dormitories only sustained minor cracks on the surface, with no significant structural damage or collapse. As a result, the children remained safe and unharmed. Among all the schools, only Hman Nan School located in Pyawbwe Township experienced ground fissures and partial subsidence during the earthquake. Although the school building did not collapse, visible cracks appeared on the walls, making it necessary for engineers to inspect and assess the structural integrity. That particular school was the most affected by the earthquake among all the schools built by the Pann Thee Foundation. At the remaining schools, only minor facade cracks and plaster damage were observed. Therefore, children will be able to continue their education safely and confidently in the upcoming academic year.
